INGREDIENTS
• Rajma / Red kidney beans - 1 cup
• Pepper corns - 1 tbsp
• Jeera seeds - 1/2 tbsp
• Dry red chillies - 5 nos
• Tomatoes - 1 no
• Tamrind juice - 1/4 cup
• Garlic flakes - 5 - 6
• Coriander leaves - few
• Oil - 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste
METHOD
• Wash and soak Rajma over night.
• Cook Rajma for 6-7 whistles.
• Soak tamrind.
• Pound pepper corns,cumin seeds and dry red chillies.
• Crush garlic flakes.
• Crush tomato slightly using mixer.
• Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add pounded pepper mixture and curry leaves. Add crushed garlic and tomato. Saute it, add tamrind juice,cooked rajma and its water.
• Add salt and cook till it boils.
• Add asfoetida and coriander leaves.
• Yummy Rajma Rasam is ready. Pair it with steamed rice.
